Breckenridge is one of the largest ski areas in Summit County, sporting 2,358 acres, 31 lifts, and 155 trails. Breck also boasts the highest percentage of expert terrain at 31%, the highest chairlift in North America (Imperial), several world class parks, and a mascot named riperoo. Though it abounds with expert terrain for the die-hard enthusiast, 45% of the terrain is made up of beginner and intermediate trails, making this the ultimate family skiing destination.     Keystone Resort begins with three mountains- Dercum, North Peak, and The Outback, which make up 3,148 skiable acres of pure exhilaration. Keystone is an ideal place for experienced to advanced skiers with 81% of its terrain dedicated to more and most difficult. With a twist on the normal, Keystone also offers night skiing, tubing, and snow bikes for visitors who want to experience something uncommon. In addition, Keystone hosts the largest terrain park in North America- A51, which invites extreme park and pipe skiers and riders from all over the world. Overall, keystone offers a vast amount of terrain, in a very unique way, and variety is the name of the game when you visit.   • Arapahoe Basin Stats


    The legend, as it is affectionately referred to by the droves of locals who frequent this tiny mountain with the big reputation, has long been known for one of the longest, and snowiest ski seasons in Colorado. Offering 960 acres of terrain, summiting at 13,050 feet, with 100 trails, and 8 lifts, A-Basin packs quite a punch with what it offers. Not exactly suited to the beginner, A-basin has terrain that leaves the most extreme skier salivating for more, and will always deliver. Due to the elevation, much of the basins terrain is located above tree line, with wide open bowls and glades everywhere you turn. The Montezuma bowl is the latest terrain available at the basin, just off the back side of the mountain, offering breathtaking views of the ten mile range, and even better turns across its wide open bowls. 20 miles from Breckenridge, but well worth every minute of the scenic drive, you need to experience The Legend.

  • Copper Mountain Stats


    Copper Mountain is a quaint ski village, just off of I-70, and just close enough to make it an easy ski day trip. Copper is not in the Vail Resorts Family, but they offer very competitive ticket prices, and 2,465 acres of fun and varied terrain. Earning the nickname “Colorado’s Perfect Ski Mountain” due to the layout of its terrain, this flows from the beginner terrain on the west to the more difficult portions of the east. The layout creates the ability to choose a section of mountain to suit your ability, and not be impeded by other types of terrain or skiers. Wrapping functional, with friendly, copper is simply a great place to take the family for the day to experience the perfectly laid out Ski Mountain, and the quaint village at the base. Copper lies just 19 miles from Breckenridge, a scenic hop, skip, and jump to a great adventure.
