The Lighting of Breckenridge
December 7th 2013- Tis the season, and Breckenridge comes alive during the Holidays like no other place on earth. A Victorian winter Wonderland comes to life before your eyes as the snow falls on the illuminated town tree behind the costumed carolers in our 150 year old mining town. The holidays are the perfect time of year to experience Breckenridge and we make it last all month long!
The festivities begin with our Holiday Tradition, The Lighting of Breckenridge, which takes place on December 7th, 2013

1:45— 3:45- Fuqua in the Arts District family arts project, Free to kids.
2:30— 6:30- Lively Holiday Caroling with the "Jingle Singers".
3:00— 6:00
Listen to the Victorian Holiday Carolers, touring up and down Main St.
3:30- An amazing Holiday Dance Performance by Alpine Dance Academy. Located in the Blue River Plaza
4:15- The Race of the Santa’s and Reindeer starts on Main St.
4:30- Free hot cocoa and cookies at Red, White, and Blue Fire House.
5:00- March down main street behind the great Santa procession, the Bernese Mountain Dog Parade, and the hot air balloon flame shooter, down to the Blue River Plaza and witness lighting of the Town Tree!
5:30— 7:00- Meet and mingle with Santa at the Barney Ford Museum.
The lighting of Breckenridge is the beginning of our Breckenridge Holiday celebration, but far from the end of it. After we kick it off with the lighting of Breckenridge, the holidays continue on all month long:
