Description
Situated just off Main Street, this condo is within walking distance to the base of peak 9 making it an easy walk to the slopes. There's free underground parking here but you really don't need a vehicle when you're based in the heart of the town, just 1/2 a block to all the shops and eateries. Don't feel like walking? Then get cozy in the onsite hot tub, take the free shuttle bus from your doorstep, or just relax with a margarita at the onsite Mexican restaurant, Mi Casa.
In the condo itself you will find a cozy and inviting decor with southwestern tones. The bedroom has a queen bed, plenty of storage, and a great view of Baldy Mountain. The kitchen is open and functional with ample counter space and kitchen supplies. The living room has comfortable seating surrounding a wood fireplace, a sleeper-sofa that can accommodate two more guests, and a wall of windows leading out to the deck. Off of the large private deck you have breathtaking views of both Baldy Mountain and the Breckenridge ski area.
The complex offers underground parking, a hot tub, onsite laundry, ski rentals, Mi Casa Mexican restaurant, as well as access to the blue river and a beautiful pond to take a stroll around. Der Steiermark has everything you are looking for on your Breckenridge vacation, and more!

Perfect Stay Near Peak 9
I had an amazing stay at this cozy place in Breckenridge! The location was unbeatable—just steps from the Peak 9 lifts, making it incredibly easy to get on the slopes. It was also close to fantastic restaurants and breweries, which made evenings enjoyable. There is a restaurant right in the building (Mi Casa).
The apartment had a warm, welcoming feel and was extremely well-maintained. It was clean, with a fully equipped kitchen that had everything I needed to prepare meals. The internet was fast and reliable, which was a big plus. Being right next to a bus stop also made it simple to get around town without any hassle.

Ideal location in Breckenridge
Stayed 4 nights at this one bedroom + kitchen property. It had all the items I required. I did not have a car. Was ideally located and and had walked around everywhere. Place was clean and easy to access. The property staff answered my calls immediately, even on a Sunday. Took the Summit Express Shuttle from Denver airport to property. Very convenient. The location of the condo is as convenient as it gets. You can walk to all the shops and restaurants. We even walked to some great hiking trails, one via the gondola up to peak 8. We only had to drive our car when we took a day trip to Glenwood Springs. If you need groceries, it’s a quick one mile drive.
The unit itself was very clean. It does sleep 4 but honestly, more than 2 guests might be a little tight. That said, in Breckenridge you’re not there to be indoors so it probably wouldn’t be an issue. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans and appliances. We were there for 5 nights and needed a couple more towels. They were quickly provided and we appreciated it. If we were to come back, we’d definitely stay at this condo.Dave - Posted: 8/15/2024

We really enjoyed our stay here in Breckenridge! This unit is 1 block from the Quicksilver chair lift, and super close to the shops and bars! Cozy Condo!

Location
The location is perfect for a ski vacation. A short distance around the corner from the top of South Main Street, opposite ‘The Village’ accommodation. You can access the slopes by a short walk - 3 / five minutes - across the street past ‘The Village’/ The Medical centre to the bottom of Peak 9/ etc. Or catch the bus ( see below).
Getting Around
We usedbuses to get around as we didn’t have a car. The stop was just a few steps outside the front door so you could ride to the base of Beaver Run, the gondola/ central bus area within a few minutes.
The Apartment
The apartment/building has been there some time, and you can see has been well used, and loved. It was warm, comfortable, clean and cosy. We loved the ‘rustic’ themed décor.

Long hallway with very handy bench seat and lots of hooks, shelves and pegs for jackets ski gear etc
Lounge/ Kitchen
The lounge was spacious with comfortable sofa/chair, TV, real log fire, access to a small veranda overlooking the road outside, galley kitchen to one side, with everything you could possibly need provided – dishwasher, cooker, microwave etc etc,. Well stocked cupboards if you wanted to cook. The veranda had ski storage rack.
We didn’t use the log fire as the heating was more than sufficient, but also – (We have a real fire at home and know how to light a fire ) there was no kindling – just chunks of logs, so this made it difficult to actually light the fire.
Bathroom was compact with a heater/ fan and standard U.S size bath and shower, toilet / sink. The shower was fabulous – really powerful. The apartment had its own heated water supply which was plentiful. We had a slight difficulty with water from the bath flooding the shop below, and this appeared to be happening via the bath overflow.
Bedroom; large cupboard and drawers, and very comfortable - firm bed. The cupboards were stocked with all sorts of gadgets, including a humidifier which we made full use of, and which was really helpful in helping us adjust to the altitude.
Sound : it wasn’t until we opened the veranda door we realised how very effective the soundproofing in the build is. We could only faintly hear noise from outside with the doors/ windows closed. Minimal noise from the apartments above, and none from the shops or Mi Casa restaurant which is below the apartments.
Parking – Can’t really comment much as we didn’t have a car – but parking was below the building accessed via the lift using a code.
Laundry - Didn’t use it, but there was a laundry room on floor 1.
Hot Tub - Didn’t use it, but looked nice, located in a private outdoor raised courtyard.
Help & Support - Information re any issues was provided in the welcome pack in the apartment, the management company being approx 10 minutes stroll down Main Street.
So what was the downside …
There is no front desk or central area for the Stein ???? apartments which are located above shops and the Mi Casa restaurant. This did make it awkward for us on our departure day. It would have been nice to have had a last stroll around the lovely main street, going for brunch, maybe a last bit of shopping, during the two hour wait between leaving the apartment and being picked up for our transfer. However this was impossible as there was nowhere to secure/store our bags. We could have paid an additional $100 to extend our use of the apartment for a couple of hours, but we felt this was somewhat excessive. Luckily there is a large corridor outside Mi Casa, with benches and access to toilet facilities. We took the second option of waiting there and read our books.
Would we go back to Toby’s

Other comments.
Food Shopping – take the tram bus down main street to the main supermarket, the prices there are much better than the shop in the centre of town, with a much wider choice. On the way back take the tram, which loops round to the central bus area, before heading back up main street. Awesome location! Toby’s place has everything we needed for a great weekend. If renting skis, I highly recommend Blue River Sports right down stairs. Great price and convenient to store the skis over night to grab in the morning.Hannah - Posted: 1/28/2018
